At Snel Logistic Solutions, safety takes centre stage for goods, vehicles and people alike. We therefore invest in virtually all available methods to uphold excellent safety standards. And this approach has paid off, because in 2013 we became ambassadors for the Flemish Foundation for Traffic Engineering (VSV), as one of the first logistics providers to be awarded the 'Truck Safety' label.

Driving style and time assistant

Raising awareness among our drivers and following up their activities is a key focus. Our mentor drivers play an important role in this process. Every driver attends a course on our working methods and the use of their trucks in traffic, spread out over several days. Moreover, we have fitted our entire fleet with an automatic driving style and time assistant to ensure continuous optimisation. Our planners monitor the drivers' driving style better than ever before – whatever they see, we can see too!

Accident reduction

The same approach applies to driving times. When a driver is nearing his maximum driving time, he is automatically notified so that he has ample time to look for a parking spot. Moreover, we have launched a fitness programme in which we advise our team on healthy eating habits and sports. The ultimate goal of all these efforts? To reduce the number of accidents!
